This platform isn’t just another website build; it is a dedicated advocacy project founded and championed by the creator of Church Design Resource. The goal was simple but vital: to build a space that champions neuro-inclusion within the church and provides practical, accessible resources for faith communities to better support neurodivergent individuals.
Designing for True Accessibility
When building NeurodivergentMinistry.com, the design process had to reflect the core mission. It wasn’t enough to just write about accessibility; the site itself had to be a leading example of it.
We focussed on creating a digital space that removes barriers rather than building them:
- Sensory-Friendly Navigation: Structuring a calm, predictable user journey without overwhelming visual clutter or disruptive pop-ups.
- Clear Communication: Prioritising highly readable typography and straightforward layouts so that the core resources are never lost in translation.
- Inclusive Aesthetics: Moving away from stereotypical, clinical designs and opting instead for a welcoming, warm, and highly engaging environment.
A Platform for Change
For the founder of Church Design Resource, this project is about bridging a massive gap in how modern churches communicate and operate. Neurodivergent Ministry stands as an essential resource hub, offering guidance, training, and community for those passionate about making their congregations truly welcoming for everyone.
